Wherever you go on this land of crossroads

Wherever you go on this land of crossroads

Elsewhere two jewish eyes are closing to think more about you

They see you dancing in of one of your novels

each mirror of the garden reflects another of your faces

And your faces smile to those jewish open minded eyes

who, thanks to you, can see now a wide-open space.

Now, you've gone to Promised land

where there's no play but only Truth.

Oranges are growing high in the trees ;

But no lie over there allows the Sun.

Wherever you go on this Promised land,

Elsewhere my eyes are remembering this stage

When you took me in this former-Refused land

Gave me drink, gave me shelter, one night,

before you disappeared at a crossroad

Which of your masks did I kiss, actress ?

How many of your veils did you drop, Salome ?

Wherever you go in this waste land,

Two loving eyes are opening to look for your steps.
